Microsoft released Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25136 to the Dev Channel on Thursday. Build 25136 fixes known issues and includes improvements to the File Explorer and widgets.
File Explorer for Windows 11 Build 25136 has a new tab. Using the tab feature, users will be able to access different locations at the same time. Coupled with the new left navigation pane layout, File Explorer is visually cleaner. Windows 11 Build 25136 makes it easier to access folders, especially common folders. While the folder is now deleted under This PC, this area will be more dedicated to computer drives.
In addition to this, it is easier for users to access and navigate OneDrive cloud profiles at Build 25136. When a user accesses a folder backed up to OneDrive, the address bar will display the address to help the user determine whether it is in the cloud or locally.
Windows 11 Build 25136 also improves Windows 11’s Dynamic Widgets, with sports and financial widgets now able to provide real-time content like weather widgets. The release will also display breaking news alerts on the widget along with real-time updates about its area. Users will be able to quickly get more detailed information by clicking on the widget. Sports and finance widget updates will appear in the same area as the weather widget. However, this feature is currently only available to a small number of Insiders in the Dev Channel.
