Though Microsoft has announced that it will allow free upgrade to Windows 11 for Windows users on Oct.25, 2021, some of the can’t wait to have a test on the new system. Due to many computers produced in recent years do not support the CD or DVD drives, we can only install Windows 11 from external USB, in case our current system doesn’t meet the upgrade requirements from Windows. How to install Windows 11 from bootable USB?

First, Prepare a USB with Enough Storage

As the Windows 11 ISO file size is 4.54 GB, you’d better prepare a USB with the storage of 8 GB.

How to check the storage of your USB?

Plugin your USB drive -> Click the Folder on task bar -> Click on your USB which has a name specified by yourself ->The disk will tell you its total storage and the free space you can use/ or you can also right click on the icon to see the details.

After you have confirm you have enough space in the USB, please follow the following steps.

Second, Download Windows 11 ISO File

Before going to download Windows 11 iso, please first sign up for Windows 11 Insider program, and then download it from Microsoft or from our website.

Before downloading, please make sure your device meet the Windows 11 system requirements:

Processor: 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster with 2 or more cores on a compatible 64-bit processor or System on a Chip (SoC).
RAM: 4 gigabyte (GB).
Storage: 64 GB or larger
System firmware: UEFI, Secure Boot capable
TPM: 2.0
Graphics card: DirectX 12 or later with WDDM 2.0 driver.
Display: 720p
Internet connection and Microsoft account: Requires internet connectivity and a Microsoft account.

Fourth, How to Make A Clean Installation for Windows 11 with Bootable USB?

Step 1: Please confirm your USB drive is connected to your device;

Step 2: Restart your computer and Press the hotkey to enter the BIOS before the system logo appears; different brands computer has different hotkeys t do that. For example, F1 is available for Lenovo, ThinkPad, and ThinkStation.
