How to Hide Start Menu Recommended Content in Windows 11?

Windows 11 has brought many new features to us, compared with the previous versions. Not all the features will be right up to the street of every users. Taking the recommend features in Start Menu, on the one hand, it will be more time saving to get the right app of folder from Start Menu; on the other hand, it just takes too much space of the Start Menu which may bother some of the users. Therefore, in this article, we’d like to show you how to hide the recommended content in Start Menu on Windows 11.

In general, there are Recently created/downloaded files and recently installed apps will be shown in this part. What we can do is to choose which kind of contents to be displayed here.

Step 1: Open the Settings and choose Personalization;

Step 3: There are three options showing here: Show recently added apps, Show the most users apps; Show recently opened items in Start, Jump Lists, and File Explorer. You can click the button besides each option to turn off its display;

Step 4: Under the Start tab, there is also a setting for Folders where you can choose to display the folders on Start next to the Power button;

The fours steps above will help you to turn off showing recommended content in Start Menu in Windows 11, instead of narrowing down the space in the Start menu.
